Part of Mr. Gold’s winning Pulitzer collection was his article on Bulgarini in July, ’06. I’ve always touted Bulgarini’s artisanal gelato over Scoop’s hack of an ice cream, and now, you can have a 5 course gelato pairing to go with an all-Italian menu. This event may be the most promising special dinner so far this year.
On May 30th, Il Moro Ristorante in Santa Monica is presenting a unique wine dinner featuring Bulgarini Gelato with each course. There will be two prix fixe menus available: a 5 course menu for $50 per person and a 7 course menu for $95 per person (please see link below for menu and details). Dinner seating begins at 5:30p.m.
The pairing also includes wine flight making this meal also one of the best bargains in 2009. Il Moro’s Bologna cuisine led by Chef Davide Ghizzoni, matched to the gelato hotness by Mr. Bulgarini – goat milk champagne gelato paired with charcuterie? Are you kidding me?
