I met Luis (ala Luis the IV, without the suffix) at the La Canada Farmers market last week. He works with Saveurs, Inc., a real-to-goodness French food catering company. They stuff their own merguez, make their own pork rilette as well as duck confit. While the prices aren’t bargains, it’s clear there is a cult following of which majority of LA isn’t aware. There’s just something so sexy about saying “Boeuf Bourguignon” and having that at your disposable, ie, in your freezer, whenever you want.

I’m still shilling this because a fellow blogger said she had a great time at the shindig a coupla weeks back.
You can still buy tickets here for the Sunday, June 14th.
I, along with the Uncouth Gourmands (apparently), will be “working” for food. This ought to be interesting.
