The last corrobaration dinner Il Moro and Bulgarini held was back in May to the tune of $95 for 7 courses plus corresponding wine pairings. This time around, due to the fattening yet broke populace, the menu has been trimmed to $48 for 3 courses including the wine pairing. You will still get various gelato, and the food, and the wine. This represents a hefty 50% price drop from 3 months ago! While this represents a slight decrease in course for course value, there doesn’t seem to be many chances left for this Summer-ish event…

This Wednesday, August 26, 2009, Il Moro Ristorante in Santa Monica is presenting it’s second wine dinner featuring Bulgarini Gelato with each course.
Chef Gianfranco Minuz will prepare a three course prix fixe menu. Dinner seating begins at 5:30p.m. and the cost is $48 per person (which includes the wine).

This makes the 3-course prix fixe @$48 a relative price increase, you’re actually getting less for your money!
No, actually the economy was just as bad 3 months ago:
“due to the fattening yet broke populace”
TonyC added these pithy words on Aug 25 09 at 12:57 pmGood point Sir. I boo boo’d. Thought the $50 menu didn’t include wine. You’re right! And now I’m sad! Shoulda went LAST time around.
sook added these pithy words on Aug 25 09 at 2:37 pmas far as i’m concerned (can’t do math)you’re getting 3 food courses, 3 dessert courses and 3 wine pairings so that’s 9 items for $50 which breaks down to $5 per item aka a good deal. does that make sense? no. okay that explains why pre-algebra was repeated 3 times (3 times!!!).
